Instruction and Supervision Arrangements

1.Before enrollment, based on their own preferences and/or the suggestion of their study advisors, all students choose one supervisor (a faculty member to supervise their research) from among the permanent faculty of the program in which they are enrolling.

2.Supervisors provide supervision and guidance on study and research in accordance with each student's attributes, goals and research style. Specifically, supervisors guide students through the process of developing study and research plans during the first year, presenting the interim findings of their Master's Thesis research at the former of the second year, and completing their Thesis in the second year. Supervisors are responsible for guiding students right through to the completion of their degrees. If deemed beneficial to a student's research, an associate supervisor may also be appointed.

3.Supervisors provide their students with individual attention through the Special Research Topics 1, 2, and 3 courses, held once every week.
