研究内容

政治・外交・軍事とメディアや世論の関係性について、歴史学の視点から研究しています。
主な分析対象は以下の通りです。
・戦間期日本陸軍の大衆娯楽を介した世論醸成と宣伝政策による政治的台頭
・満洲事変前後の大阪毎日新聞社による「国論統一」の試みと組織再編
・昭和戦前期における「軍人勅諭」論争と政党、軍、メディアの「軍人と政治」に対する認識
・架空戦記の外交問題化をめぐる日米の動向と「非常時」下のフィクション統制

I study the interrelationship between politics, diplomacy, military, media and popular sentiment from a historical perspective.
The main cases to be analyzed are as follows.
・Fostering a pro-military popular sentiment and expansion of political influence through the Japanese army's propaganda using popular entertainment during the interwar period
・Attempts to “unify national opinion” and organizational reorganization by Osaka Mainichi Shimbun before and after the Manchuria incident
・The controversy over the political involvement of military personnel in the early Showa period
・Trends in Japan and the United States regarding diplomatic issues caused by fictional war stories
・Control over fiction works in Japan during the early Showa period
