Research Interests

  Intercultural Communication

My research field is intercultural communication. I research the judgment of foreign culture in intercultural communication. Should we teach students to judge foreign culture or not? Should we be neutral? Is it possible to be neutral? I identified three main approaches and designed three intercultural communication courses to explore student reactions to the courses. I use various research methods including interviews and diaries.

Message to students

Developing good communication skills is an important part of foreign language learning. This involves considering other points of view. Are you open to other people's ideas?
